Ipad clone: Epads Empty Ipad clone: Epads

Sat Nov 20, 2010 1:40 pm
We bought in these a few months ago and they been selling good, be warned there are like many manufacturers of this epad becareful which one you go with: some are cheap and slow and others are good quality and fast. We carry the good ones, and they totally look like the real ipad and faster and have usb! Featuring Google's Android OS, so no viruses/spyware/registry errors to worry about!

We carry 7"s 8"s and 10.2"s so if you want one let me know!

We have the following:

7" 169.99

8" 269.99

10.2" 299.99

Brand new at a fraction of what the real IPAD cost Smile

Alot of people are buying these as xmas presents for their kids. I gave a 7 to my daughter for a good report card all As and Bs.

7" is 600mhz 8" is 800mhz and 10.2 is 1 ghz

They are pretty fast units. My daughter has the 7, and I went with the 8 Smile

I tried out the Pandigital that Kohl's is selling. It worked, OK I guess. It wasn't anything to brag about. The deal breaker for me was when you connect via Wi-Fi and turn the reader, you lose Wi-Fi period. You have to turn it off and reboot to get it back.
It was nice to do a quick check of a web site or read on-line news. The other thing was trying to read e-books. They had to be ePub or..... Augh, I forgot the other format... Not a common one. Point is I couldn't add other files in to read. I even tried that Calibre program, it failed. Next time I get enough allowance together, I'm wanting to get a better Android tablet. Those sound like good ones! cheers JohnP

Sounds like the ones walgreens has, same problem when you turn them wifi cuts off.

These units dont have that problem. My favorite is the 8" model, its in the middle very fast and very affordable, does flash everything.
Ebook program works great, you can get the books anywhere or from the program; I dont even go to the library anymore!

I got to see one of the walgreens units from an unsatisfied walgreens customer at my shop. I looked briefly but found 4 MAJOR problems:

1) It has half the ram compared to our epads.

2) Processor is half the speed compared to our epads.

3) Android OS is 1.6 where ours is 2.1

4) Wi-fi is majorly defective it cuts off everytime you move the epad, thats not normal. Every epad I have tested: the wifi still works when you rotate screen, EXCEPT THIS ONE: it cuts off then you gotta reboot.

I told my customer, take it back to walgreens and get a refund while you still can! He is coming back to our store for an 8" he loved it!

Ipad clone: Epads Empty more info?

Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:21 pm
Hey Ray~ got any more comprehensive info on the critters, a spec sheet or whatever?

... and are there any heavy duty cases for the things, along the lines of the Otterbox Defender?
(I've had the Defender series for both iphones & BB & the things are downright bombproof).

What sort of keyboards are workable, anything tiny, like the
iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard that I [sorta] Rolling Eyes use with the Nokia tablets (n800 & 770)?
Gotta use a stylus or do fingers work almost as good as apple stuff?
resistive touch is a little less sensitive than capacitive but that's not always a bad thing for someone with ham-fingers.

Yes we sell usb mini keyboards that come built into a leather case to store the epad and it works very well. I dont use a stylus I use my fingers thats how good it works, but you can use a stylus if you want.

I have repaired ipads and find the epads work just as good as the ipad and better in some ways.

Just one of many advantages: Our epads have flash 10.1 where IPad does not have flash and probably never will according to Steve Jobs: "Steve Jobs has just posted a long open letter on Flash, listing all the reasons why Apple has decided not to support it on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch."

Usb ports are on this epad without requiring a docking station! The list goes on and on.

Lets face it, Google's Android OS just keeps getting better and better !

Sounds good; I have to wait to hear from da kid to see what he wants to do for an xmas or xmas/b-day present,
I'll get back to ya~ maybe I'll get one for me sister; how much is the cover/case w/keyboard? She's notoriously rough on delicate gear, Rolling Eyes so maybe something made outta 1/4" steel plate would be more in line for her... Twisted Evil

Heheheh. A good case with keyboard built in 35.00 and for a cheap case with keyboard 25.00. I would go with the good one, cheap one is flimsy vinyl.

Due to overwhelming sales, and satisfied customers; we will be carrying the Apad (Ipad Clones) with android OS as a regular item in our store. We actually sold more of these than laptops; went a lot better than expected.
