Wow sorry to hear that.

I got the steps to fix autologin.

1) click Launch
2) click system settings
3) login manager
4) click administrator mode
5) click convenience and check auto login
6) click apply

Your done!

It seems when i finally got the user bug fixed it created a problem in the autologin during installer. But easy fix.

Ray
I looked for login manager under system settings. Could not find it. There was a users manager but there was no "convenience" option.

Bob

It should be in advanced tab, hmm let me fire it up tomorrow and check: as I am going from memory maybe I missed something.

Running Ubuntu 11.04 again. Seems to run with less occasional quirks then PhoenixOS on my Dell Netbook. Phoenix seems to work pretty good on my desktop with a test drive installed though.

What occassional quirks did you have, so I know what to fix.

Thanks.

Sometimes I would copy folders from a usb flash drive to my hard drive. When I went to access them from the hard drive these folders were locked. I could move them to my trash can, but I couldn't delete them.

It was touch n go for me the last week. I'm back home again. My oldest brought her laptop to the hospital last week and I got on for a little bit.

Thanx Ray. Glad to be up and around. But, it seems more and more these days that the hospital is more home then home. Time is coming soon, when I will be heading to my true home.

Well I hope you get to stay with us longer buddy. Wouldn't be the same without you here. I remember when you first joined the forums: you were one of few that didn't mind testing my releases! I am going to make sure froggy's beast has the latest release with all the bells and whistles for you, hehehe Very Happy

Thanx Ray, I really appreciate it. I am still willing to test every thing you throw out, but my daughter doesn't want me to install anything. Even though she knows I can put things back they way they were. I guess she thinks I may lose all her pics and music or something.
