It takes DDR SDRAM DIMM RAM. I'm looking for some RAM unless someone else can come up with some.

What I can't find is the heatsink and fan. There are a lot of them on ebay for sale for around $10.00 I though I had one but I have not been able to find it.

I have a bid on ebay on a fan and heatsink. I won't know if I get it till tomorrow. Basketball

Or, maybe we should call it, "Frog's Beast".

Ha, won't this be the first computer created by and for Phoenix Os?

Send that Smile I would like to see phoenixos scream on his system! Worse case scenario, if his board dont take it, i can swap the 1 gig ddr for two 512k off the shelf.

Thanks!

Ok I lost the bid on the heatsink & fan.

Ray after I mailed the package there seems to be a question as to the model number. I though it was a D845GLC but it might be a D865GLC. You will have to see when you get it.
They are very similar.

After we get da Froggie's needs squared away, if anybody has a couple-few PCI video cards, I'll be happy to swap for AGP, which I'm up to my ankles in. What a Face
Got the tail end of a case of nVidia 8xAGP 128mb FX5200s here.

I might be able to dig up more RAM if ya need it, it's down to looking up the numbers on a few stray sticks floating around here.
WTF don't some of the wanker mfgrs just use common recognizable labels on some of them? Suspect

I looked at the stack of optical drives; no spare DVD burners but some new pulls of CD DVD-ROMs. Maybe a CDRW/DVD-ROM hiding in there.
All IDEs.

I used to get DVD burners (NEC 3550s) by the case back when I was making duplicators but used up all the critters a long time ago.
Gave away the last couple of miniATX cases last summer...

DR C sent a dvd/cdrw so if that reads my PhoenixOS dvds fine, I can use that instead of a dvd burner Very Happy

I think there was also 2 PCI video cards, some ram, and a modem in the box to. Please verify that you received them and someone didn't take them out.

Ray is that a D845 or a D865?

That has onboard video. If you want something better i'll look on ebay for a PCI card
It will automatically boot to the onboard video and if you put a video card in it it will automatically switch. Nothing to change in the BIOS.

Yeah I kind of want to keep his ram so it be fast, if I use onboard video then the ram gets shared. I know we giving him the system free, but I still would like it to run at a descent speed.

Thanks for your help! Very Happy
