Ray Problem here. The person sent me a AGP video card instead of a PCI. His add clearly said PCI in several places. If no one else has one I will try to get one on ebay again or if anyone wants to trade. What do you think?

PS: I sent the person an email but haven't heard nothing yet. I doubt he will have another.

wireless usb adapter

Post  Bob3 on Tue Apr 19, 2011 4:15 pm

I've already sent him a wireless USB adapter that's plug & play friendly (and a couple others that weren't).
I believe it has a Ralink chipset in it; (Froggy - correct me if I'm wrong.)

Didn't that 1GB stick of ram I sent with the CPU cooler work out?

I can probably find a couple case fans around here.

Found a couple PCI video cards but one's's an ancient Voodoo 3D add-in that I suspect may need an additional video card to be of any use.
You can look 'em up if ya want; one's a "3DFX" & the other's a "Canopus PURE3d".
From the looks they may have 8 - 16mb of onboard memory. Pretty vintage stuff!!!

exact same card: http://www.3dgw.com/review/pure3d/pure3dreview.htm

The 1 Gig memory stick doesnt work in any of the motherboards, and when i put it on a tester fails.

See if you can get froggy to mail me the usb wifi: I didnt know he had one already so I can make sure it works.

Thanks!

Thought I would pop in a let ya know Ray, that I have 4gigs of DDR2 800 ram and a nVidia 8400GS. I can install these once the tower is here. But if I get my settlement money in soon(I just signed the paperwork so hopefully sooner then later.), we can save what ya have for the next person who needs help.
