Happy 4th to you as well. Went to a friends house for a cookout they are about a half mile from the beach so we could walk down and see the fireworks it was a good time.

Going to another friends house today no fireworks but should be a good time.

Sounds awesome! We had a family cookout at our house, and I worked on the pool which has been green for months religiously: then 4th of July morning came up and it was crystal clear! Boy was I ever so lucky! Now I gotta make time every morning to keep up with the pool, so that never happens again!

Saw your pics on facebook, looks like you had a lot of fun buddy!

Do you winterize? I had nothing but issues when I would just close the pool in the fall. Now I buy a winterize kit and my pool has been crystal clear for the last 3 seasons. It in worth every penny the kit runs about $30 here. I have a small pool so I use half when I close it and half on opening in reverse.

Nope, I have never winterized it. Whats involved in that and do you put a cover on it or something?

Thanks! I don't want to do this again!

Yep you cover it at east in my area you have to as the pool freezes. The kit includes shock, algae stuff and a few other things it walks you through the process takes about a week at the end I remove the pump put a cover on it and don' think about it till spring. In the spring I reverse the process and the pool is ready to use no muss no fuss. It is nice when you take the cover off and the pool is still blue. I tried other things that people told me but every spring I had green water or some other issue. I have a few friends that do what I do now and their results are the same. Worth a try for the price. The last year before I started doing this I had to drain and refill the pool twice before it was usable and then it still wasn't great. The pool right now is so clear the littlest leaf or bug is visible and easily removed.

That sounds awesome! Thats what I definitely need to do. Right now my pool is crystal clear and I want to keep it like that!
I will have to go to Pinch a Penny pool store and get that winterizing kit you mentioned: defintely worth the money.

Thanks John!
