2 steps forward 3 steps back. The nurse that came yesterday did something to cause my wife to bleed pretty good, I'm not a happy camper.

You're not having a very good run are you John. Let's hope that the problem is only temporary and she'll soon be back on the recovery road. Best wishes for a rapid improvement.

Wow sorry to hear that, is she a regular nurse or they send whoever is available at that time? That is really messed up, we will pray that she has no more setbacks and gets a speedy recovery.

I believe she was a regular nurse. My wife is feeling better this morning. Hopefully that is the last set back. If I don't talk to anyone have a happy Thanksgiving all.

So the nurse no longer has to come out and as of tomorrow my wife can start doing some lifting. She has already gone back to driving. She is back on the medication and unless something happens we will be avoiding the doctor's office until after the new year.

Almost a year later. 4 months ago my wife's scans weren't good. The cancer was growing again and they can't do anymore surgeries so we were pretty bummed. The doctor changed her medicines around and her scan from last week shows no new growth so for no she is feeling OK and things are stable.
I would like to try and help put out an updated version of Phoenix were is the latest ISO I can work from?

Really sorry to hear that John, I was hoping that you had gotten over the worst part of the hill. Have you ever thought of trying some of the alternative cancer treatments??, when the quacks say they can't help you're on your own. Give Lyn our very best wishes and prayers for a positive outcome.jpisini wrote:Almost a year later. 4 months ago my wife's scans weren't good. As for Phoenix, Ray posted a while ago about a new version and I arranged for him to upload it but nothing eventuated so I'd guess if he's got something new it's still on his computer. Have you contacted him.
Best wishes my friend.

Yeah we have changed our diet and are eating more organic foods and more veggies. The problem is there is no cure for what my wife has and the average lifespan is 20 to 24 months she is one of two people in the world to live 8 years with this so we are very lucky. We count our blessings every day. It is tough though the extra costs between medicines and organic foods is really hurting us. We are having problems keeping the house and are working with a lawyer.

Tekmate,
Your wife will continue to be in my family's prayers. I'm sorry about the financial stresses on top of everything else. Good luck to you and try to make as much comfort as you can for not only your wife but yourself as well.

Sorry to hear that John, but look at this way. Your wife is a living miracle, so enjoy every moment God has given her, and think positive. The rules don't necessarily apply to her; she could defy those rules: in fact her very existence has already beaten the odds!
We will keep your family in our prayers.
I will get you the updated iso.

Let me know when you have something to work on.
I have been goofing around I built a custom Wheezy/Jessie setup with KDE 4.11.2 it works pretty nice. The trick is to keep as much of Wheezy as you can so you don't get caught in the constant updates of Jessie. At some point this distro will break and it will have to migrated to a full Jessie base but hopefully by then Jessie will be pretty stable.

I remember how that goes, used to do that in earlier releases of PhoenixOS. I will try to fire up a test box to compile the iso, as I made more improvements. I would like to add your installer to the iso, before it goes final.jpisini wrote:Let me know when you have something to work on.
