Not much going on I guess. Not too much to talk about
till the release version of FlameHawk comes out.
I'm very happy to report that both my daughter's laptop and my granddaughter's desktop are running Linux Mint. Both old machines had been running Windows XP. Linux has brought new life to both. Both machines run much faster now.

Well I've tried Ultimate but didn't like it too much. I am using ArtistX, which is based on Ubuntu 8.04, which is a very full distribution, aimed at artistic work, obviously, but I have found it very good, stable and generally superior to anything else I have tried.
I did a dist-upgrade from 8.04 to 9.04 without any problems at all although doing this took over 3 GB of downloads. I was able to save the .deb files and repeat the process on a number of other installations, none of which had any problems. I haven't bothered to go to 9.10 as it is all very stable and up to date.
I now use Ubuntuzilla to keep Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey always at the latest version, so these keep up with development and security issues easily.
I'm just wondering how things are progressing with PhoenixOS. Any word on this front?

Its finished and now based on Karmic; in the process of updating the packages; I ended up upgrading to Karmic; it just works so well and still keeping kde 3.5. I just have to make the iso and upload it; its coming soon.

Thanks Ray, good news. I'm looking forward to your offering when it is ready.
Can I make a special request for the .zsync file to be posted alongside the .iso file?

Thanks, Ray [NZ], using zsync in the CLI may seem difficult the first time or two but once you know the ropes it is quite straight forward to use.
As to creating the .zsync file, this is rather easy too.
In the same directory as the .iso file, run the following command -
The '-u name-of-file.iso' option tells zsync to find the ISO file in the same directory as the .zsync file without specifying any particular URL. This makes the file easily used with multiple download mirrors which are specified at time of downloading with the '-u' option [or multiple '-u' options].
Here is an example of creating a .zsync file -
Then upload the .zsync file into the same directory, on-line, as the ISO and its md5sum files.
Paul
PS Another Wiki on using zsync to download an ISO file, that may clarify the method if you are having difficulties, is at Get Dreamlinux using zsync
