Epson TX600FW printer

Can anyone tell me how to add a print driver for this printer (and also the Epson R230) when using the latest PhoenixOS. The printers are both listed in the Printers section but the Configgure section says No Driver for the TX600FW.

New version, iso being uploaded should detect it, there was also an update to cups. Try it and let me know; are you on yahoo or msn I could walk you thru it.

Downloaded and installed the latest iso, still have the same error messages.

Unable to load a valid driver for printer EPSONTX600FW:3. Error message received from manager:
Internal error (no error message).

New iso looks pretty good but I'll need to get the printers and such working. I tried the add nnew printer route but there are no drivers listed for the TX600FW or the R230. I'll check out the Epson site for some drivers.

I just noticed that there were 2 Epson R230 printers listed on this release. The first entry was listed as a Raw Printer the second had a correct Cups driver using Gutenprint 2.5 and this printer printed perfectly. So one down, one to go. I have deleted the first R230 printer from the list of printers.

I have just started one of my other VM's - Ultimate Edition 2.6 - and used the Printing option there. The process used was System-Config-Printer 1.2.0 Cups Configuration Tool I entered the IP address that the TX600FW uses and the routine just installed the printer, I ran a test print which was excellent so the printer should definately be recognised by the system.

I then checked the printer list for Epson printers in the printer setup on both PhoenixOS and Ultimate, the Ultimate list contains many more printer models than are listed in the PhoenixOS printer list, I presume this would apply to other printer brands.

I have run the Synaptic Update Manager so there does appear to be some variation between the 2 Cups lists. Any ideas as to what it might be.

I will check into it, worse case scenario I may have to package another deb for cups, no bigee, thanks for letting me know.
