It may be an AMD issue I also have this issue on another 32bit kde 3.5 Ubuntu based OS but the 64 bit version of that one runs fine. I tend to stick to 32bit versions because of work I have to be able to remote in and I have run into issues with Citrix and 64bit versions of Linux. I will most times remove Firefox 3.6 and install 3.5.10 for a similar reason the new one is not as good with my companies java based VPN as the older one is. I am currently running 32bit Kanotix KDE 3.5.10 version with Ice Weasel 3.5.10 from the Lenny backports repo with no issues so it is tough to say if it is an AMD issue or possibly the way they compile a kernel vs the way Ubuntu does. The only real difference between Kanotix and Lenny is the kernel is much better at detecting hardware over the Stock Lenny one. Lenny does work on this laptop but it is lot of work to get everything working where Kanotix is really good. I do suffer from a sound card issue but I have found an acceptable work around for that.
If you can't figure it out in my case it is not a huge issue I have a working Linux OS that I can use for now. I don't want to hold everyone else up. I would certainly test a 64bit version if you do go that route.

Try it now, for some weird reason when you create a new section, it defaults to administrator write only, thats odd. I changed it to all, should work now.

Recommend including the Lightning calendar add-on to Thunderbird 3.1 (Click image):

I agree... I also like Ken's suggestion to add the calendar add in to Thunderbird, by default.

Re: Final Bug Reports

Been away for a coupld of weeks , and nw back to do some testing.
Downloaded PhoenixOS 062310 . Install normal.
Only problem is lack of NVidia drivers. My monitor is 1680 x 1050 . I usually reset definition to 1440 x 900 account of my old eyes.
The OEM desktop sets up for the full 1680 x 1050 with no administrative conntrol.
When I set up a second User account it defaults to 800 x 600 withno config control.
The inclusion of Ubuntu Software Center is a good addition. However I see you are using USC version 2.0.5 and it has NO search button , nor any progress indicator. This is strange, as I also have the standard Ubuntu 10.04 which is using USC version 2.0.4 which does have a search button and a progresss indicator.
I also have Linux Mint Isadora which uses an almost identical software center version Minttinstall 7.1.7 with an even better progress bar. Mint had this system long before Ubuntu bnrought thiers out.
Except for the NVidia drivers i find no bugs. Am looking forward to your next release.

I never use the software center at all. Not my preference.

LinuXFrog Let me know when you get the CD an have checked it out live. Just to make sure its ok. You never know if the post office xrays it or exposes it to a magnetic field. I though of it later I should have rapped it in aluminum foil.

Ok, just got the disk, workin fine. Am postin with it right now.
What an awesome distro this is!!! It even found my resolution right off, except it had it at 60 instead of 75. But most distros put me at 1900 x 1600.
Thanx again. This is definitely getting installed!
Edit:
Installed excellent. No issues. Had 100+ updates. Everything went well.
I want to upgrade it to 9.04, but the only option is to upgrade to 10.04 which i totally hate.

LinuXFrog .... Sometimes it installs a different video resolution than it uses in live.
Before you change the resolution make sure it knows what monitor you are using. There is a place to change it if its not right.

You are right it is a very nice Operating system. I'll bet admin will get PhoenixOS working
great as well. Its very time consuming. Some of Chris' followers corrupted and pissed him off
real bad and that is when he backed away and was not seen for a long time. He is a doctor a
professional and they treated him like he was a dirt bag telling him what to do. They are all gone now.

Bob bug is fixed, and all the bugs have been fixed. Final release will be released in two flavors:
Karmic and Lucid. The reason is some people can not run lucid, but karmic works; so I basically finished both they will be uploaded in time for labor day, maybe if time permits maybe an early release.
