Post  Admin on Mon Aug 09, 2010 7:19 pm

Here is a new home for Freespire/Linspire users in case the freespire forums go down.

Enjoy!

Glad I could help, wish there was a way we could keep all the content from old forums. At least we have a place to go if it goes down.

Welcome aboard everyone!

Nice touch Ray.

Kinda pointless really but nice anyway.

I dont spend much time in forums these days but its nice to drop by and see familiar names. I'll be giving the latest release a whirl this weekend.

Should we keep this section since xandros renewed? I think we should keep it, after all Xandros doesnt really care about freespire. What if their server goes down, it could be months before they put it back up; its not a priority for them. Scalix is the only thing that they appear to be focused on at the moment.

I have added points, I am carrying over your post counts from the freespire forums and implenting them into your points on here: what does everyone think about that? Harvey and I are done, now doing the rest of you.

What are the "points", exactly??? Over in *spireland, my post count is as of right now: 13,429, Join date of Oct 2002, with Rep power of 21...

I don't get the "points" angle...

Points are earned by the number of post you post, I calculated your points by the amount of posts you had on freespire forums plus the number you had in phoenix forums. This way people get full credit for their posts in freespire forums and what they earned is not lost. Thats why your points are higher than mine, because you posted more posts in freespire forums than what I did.

Does that help clarify things for you?

Due to numerous requests to keep the Linspire/Freespire forum here it will be staying.

I need a list of categories you the community would like for this Linspire/Freespire section.

Thanks

I don't think this will need many sub-forums (due to the other similar forums you already have), but unique Linspire/Freespire would be nice...

I was not intending to cause controvery so please do not take it that way. Its not my forum and its good to see that a majority is catered for. I am however impressed with what you have achieved with PhoenixOS in such a short time, Kudos to you.

I too notice the post count v points difference that S3 refers to.

Points are the Post from Freespire forums credited along with your existing PhoenixOS posts, thats why the variance.

Thanks! Glad you like it, and I am just getting started!
