Hosting Lack of Funds

It is with deep sadness and regret that I have to make this post.

We have received 0 donations to date. I have no other choice but to cancel the hosting for 2012. This is a project I started to create an os that was supposed to be Linspire 7, but Xandros pulled out at the last minute and I was forced to quickly recode and change logos to the new name: PhoenixOS- symbolizing kind of like Linspire rising from the ashes. I make no income from this project: its strictly for the Linspire/Freespire Community as well as any other members that would like to use my os.
Unfortunately, I can not afford to pay the hosting out of my pocket, for a project that generates no income. I will continue development of PhoenixOS, but the isos will no longer be hosted unless some mircacle funding comes in time.

At this moment for the future, I have two options: now if we come up with funding for hosting then everything will stay the same and remain free.

Make PhoenixOS Commercial so the income would pay the hosting fees: I don't need to make profit, just make enough to pay hosting fees.

Keep PhoenixOS Free and charge 14.99-19.99 per DVD to cover materials, dvd cost, & postage.

I'd like to leave it to you the community to vote on this issue.

P.S. On the good side we have a new Moderator that will be running the forums so I can devote more time to PhoenixOS development: Welcome aboard Tekmate: John Pisini! John has been helping me already with PhoenixOS development and will be helping me continue development on PhoenixOS hopefully as a regular! What you think John?

Almost forgot: we still have the anonymous donor who said he will match dollar for dollar for each donation. So with Old Tech donating 50.00 and the matching 50.00 donation, we only need 50.00 more dollars to keep the hosting !!!!

If you ever want to do some ebaying or selling of OS DVDs/CDs of any of the OSes, I still have those DVD duplicators here, plus shrink wrap/packaging & mailing equipment.
Might be a way of getting a few extra nickels & dimes in the jar.
