Hosting for 2011

As most of you may or may not know. In the beginining we had no place to host the isos; then thanks to a generous PhoenixOS user the hosting was paid for one year:

$119.40

In January 12, 2011 the hosting will expire. I have one of two options:

1) I can mail out the isos to people who send prepaid mailers and blank dvds

2) Start a collection using paypal and picking donation option, to avoid paypal fees, to raise the 120.00 for the next year of hosting the isos.


I think option 2, would be best. If you are interested in pursuing option two and would like to donate toward the hosting of next year let me know and my paypal email address is thorpe1968@gmail.com.
Its still early, but I do not want to wait till the last minute and have everything down again!

Sounds good to me. I will donate some moola in a week or so.

Ray let us know whats in the pot when it gets close to the end maybe I can donate some more along with other members.

Great thanks! I was kinda hesitant to do this, but I really didnt want to have to go back to mailing them out, its nice having a place to just download them and saves me a lot of labor.

Hi everyone, just wanted to thank the 2 people who sent 25.00 toward the hosting for Januarys hosting bill.

If for some reason we do not raise enough money for the hosting, I will send back the money that has been sent so far. Hopefully enough will be raised.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you probably need not worry about folks pulling through for ya.

Hey guys if you can spare a couple of dollars it will help make sure Phoenix exists at least another year. Thanks to all those that have donated and that will donate. Good fortunes to all.

UPDATE:

I have not collected enough for hosting, only 3 users contributed: THANKS.

This is a project that I do for the community for free and do not make any income from this, and it is with deep regret that I might have to let the hosting expire. I am going to try to finish up lucid final and maverick preview so people can download the iso before hosting goes down, but with the holidays and extra workload I dont know if I will be able to have it done before they pull the plug.


If this happens I will return the money to the 3 people who donated toward the hosting.

I would like to again, thank the 3 that did donate and thank all of you who have showed your support and helped PhoenixOS grow to what it has become.

Heheheheh yup not having to pull the plug on the hosting/ftp: that definitely be a nice Xmas present! Dec 22nd the deadline. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we make it.
